TLHCA is meeting Tuesday March 21, 7pm, Westover Library meeting room.

Prelim agenda:

- County and School Budget processes
- Schools updates: options, boundaries, Reed, candidate forum
- VHC Edison Site: brief update on community meeting; not much new
- Lee Highway Alliance update
- other ongoing CA issues TBD: e.g water bills, etc.

- Neighborhood Day plans (May 13th)
- Neighborhood Conservation projects list

- Reminder: TLHCA elections will be in May

News and Updates for January 2017

Tuesday Night - Monthly TLHCA Meeting

TLHCA will hold its January meeting on Tuesday, January 17th. On this month's agenda:

The Neighborhood Conservation Program - What improvements do we need in Tara-Leeway Heights? New sidewalks? Streetlights? Street beautification?

Do you have a suggestion for a neighborhood improvement project that we should propose for Neighborhood Conservation program funding? See below for details on the program.

At this meeting we will also discuss:
  • Updates on the Virginia Hospital Center expansion
  • Latest on school issues affecting our neighborhood
  • Discussion of high water bills
  • Greater Westover Group events
January 17 at 7 pm

Background on the Neighborhood Conservation Program

Arlington funds neighborhood improvements through its Neighborhood Conservation Program. Civic Associations wishing to participate in this program must have Neighborhood Conservation plans in place that outline the community's priorities and ideas for improvement. Proposals for Neighborhood Conservation Program funding must be consistent with these plans.

Projects can include: sidewalks, street beautification, intersection improvements, pedestrian safety projects, street lights and parks.

2016-2017 Civic Association Support: A New Year, New Dues!

Thank you to all of you who support the work of the Civic Association by paying annual dues. The new fiscal and membership year began in May 2016, so if you haven't contributed yet this year, now is the time! You are welcome to send in a donation in addition to your annual dues.

Dues are $10.00 per year and can be paid via the link below (no PayPal account needed).  Dues payments can also be sent to PO Box 50022, Arlington, VA 22205.
